Halo infinite looks almost too similar to prior generations of video games when developers loved muted palettes that could blend right into some military camo plus the occasional neon color.

I don t want this to be a hate thread i would like people to explain how i could be wrong because i hope that the gameplay trailer doesn t at all represent the final product. The art style looks like it severely changed especially looking back at the initial slipspace engine demonstration from 2018. I think the pushed graphics game for ms is gears of war not halo.
The main push and pull is about the graphics we saw. And as you would expect halo fans were over the moon. Today microsoft and 343 industries revealed a new halo infinite trailer and our first raw look at gameplay. Lighting is really flat.
Infinite we ve seen in 2018 and 2019 look like completely different games. There doesn t seem to be dismemberment or any sort of reaction to shooting an enemy besides just for their shield glowing blue. Textures look pretty low. Fans have been comparing halo infinite to much older games to show that they had better graphics than this brand new release and others have gone as far as to say that halo infinite looks like it.
Hopefully this is just to keep expectations in check and not get xbox one users expecting xbox sx graphics on the one. The world looks vastly inferior and the poor lighting animations and textures don t do it any favors. Posted by 3 months ago. The official halo infinite screenshot above is bad.
The texture on the cliff face in the background is blurry and the composition is atrocious. Not bad but it is suppose to kick off their next gen. It s a bunch of enemies looking out of frame which. The brute at the end looks pretty bad and low textured.
This and the halo. Though i do agree with tc that it looks underwhelming. Grass look really bad and there s a ton of pop in with it as well as really low draw distances.
